Increasingly complex political phenomena demand research that is not only descriptive, but also analytical, critical, and based on a strong methodology. This paper aims to explain the meaning of political research methodology, examine the research paradigms usead, and discuss qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods research in political research. The discussion focused on the relationship between paradigms, theories, and mixed methods in the research used, as well as discussing qualitative, quantitative, and research methods as an inseparable unit. In addition, it also highlights the importance of research design, validity, and research ethics in producing scientific findings that can be accounted for. Consequently, it is not enough to have a single viewpoint in order to comprehend religion thoroughly. By highlighting the significance of a multidisciplinary perspective, this essay seeks to analyze different methods used to comprehend religion, specifically within the framework of Islamic studies. Library research, including the examination of several works pertaining to religious studies approach, is the technique used in this study. The results show that many different schools of thought—psychological, historical, sociological, philosophical, and theological-normative—contribute significantly to our growing knowledge of religion. All of these perspectives are necessary for a modern, contextual, and all-encompassing view of religion; they are not mutually exclusive. This study aims to philosophically and theoretically dissect the fundamental attributes of Islam, which represent a sophisticated integration between rabbaniyah (theocentricity) and insaniyah (anthropocentricity). Utilizing a qualitative-descriptive methodology supported by extensive library research, this paper explores the manifestations of universality, equilibrium (wasathiyah), and doctrinal flexibility in responding to contemporary temporal dynamics. The analysis reveals that Islam positions human rationality within a proportional hierarchy to construct a sublime moral order, effectively harmonizing profane pursuits with sacral orientations. Peran evaluasi tidak sekadar memantau capaian belajar, namun turut memberikan gambaran tentang dinamika pembelajaran sekaligus menjadi rujukan bagi perbaikan mutu. Penentuan format instrumen, baik melalui tes maupun non tes, senantiasa merujuk pada tujuan penilaian dan kategori kompetensi yang akan diukur.</p> <p>Lewat penelitian berbasis studi pustaka ini, dianalisis konsep serta implementasi evaluasi non tes di ranah edukasi. Beragam teknik seperti penilaian sikap, proyek, produk, hingga kinerja merupakan bagian dari ragam evaluasi tersebut. Pengembangan instrumen ini dipandang sangat penting lantaran mampu memotret ranah psikomotorik dan afektif peserta didik secara luas, yang seringkali sulit dipetakan hanya melalui ujian tertulis.</p> <p>Secara menyeluruh, penerapan non tes berfungsi memantau kompetensi keterampilan dan sikap guna menghasilkan potret kemampuan peserta didik yang utuh. Its role is not only to clarify the verses of the Quran but also to serve as a primary reference in the formation of Islamic law, ethics, and social practices of the Muslim community. Therefore, hadith research requires a rigorous scientific methodology to ensure its authenticity and continued relevance. This article aims to examine various models of hadith research that have developed within the Islamic scholarly tradition, encompassing both classical and contemporary approaches. The method employed is a literature review using a descriptive analytical approach to the works of hadith scholars. The findings indicate that hadith research models have undergone significant development, evolving from a primary focus on sanad and matn criticism to multidisciplinary approaches that emphasize social context, maqasid al-sharia, and the moral values of the Quran. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, the research identifies the fundamental functions of Tafsir in providing clarity on the meanings of the Quranic text while preventing ideological deviations. The discussion focuses on the methodological frameworks developed by prominent scholars, notably M. Quraish Shihab, who categorizes interpretation methods into four main types: Tahlily (analytical), Ijmali (global), Muqarin (comparative), and Maudlu’iy (thematic). Additionally, the study examines the models proposed by Ahmad Al-Syarbashi and Syaikh Muhammad Al-Ghazali regarding the history of interpretation and the integration of social sciences in understanding the Quran. This paper aims to examine and analyze diverse models of Islamic historical research, ranging from traditional (classical), philological, and sociological critical (modern) models, to archaeological and epigraphic approaches, as well as the integrative interconnective (contemporary) model. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach using library research methods and is analyzed through content analysis and comparative analytical techniques. The findings indicate that each research model has its own characteristics, strengths, and contributions to the reconstruction of Islamic history. The traditional model emphasizes the validity of transmitted reports, the philological model focuses on textual and manuscript criticism, while the sociological critical model as well as archaeological and epigraphic approaches broaden the sources and perspectives of Islamic historiography. This article aims to examine models of Islamic legal research developed by Harun Nasution, Noel J. Coulson, and Muhammad Atho Mudzhar. This study employs library research with a descriptive analytical approach. The findings indicate that Islamic legal research can be conducted through historical, sociological, and contextual methods. These approaches enable Islamic law to be understood not only normatively but also as a dynamic legal system that adapts to social change. Dengan menerapkan pendekatan kualitatif yang bersumber pada studi kepustakaan, penelitian ini membedah beragam metode, di antaranya evaluasi formatif, evaluasi sumatif, self-assessment, hingga peer assessment. Urgensi dari penilaian dan evaluasi pembelajaran terletak pada fungsinya sebagai sarana pengukur keberhasilan belajar, penyedia umpan balik, serta instrumen untuk mengoptimalkan efektivitas pengajaran. Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa peran penilaian dan evaluasi tidak terbatas sebagai alat bantu bagi siswa dalam meraih sasaran belajar, namun juga berfungsi sebagai panduan strategis bagi pendidik untuk menetapkan strategi pengajaran yang paling relevan dengan kebutuhan peserta didik. Evaluasi dipandang sebagai sebuah proses sistematis dalam pengumpulan data yang krusial untuk mengukur capaian pendidikan, baik yang diolah melalui metode kuantitatif maupun metode kualitatif. Di samping itu, penggunaan variasi model seperti evaluasi diagnostik, evaluasi formatif, evaluasi sumatif, serta teknik penilaian mandiri (self-assessment) dan sejawat (peer assessment) yang berpijak pada data numerik maupun data deskriptif, terbukti memiliki kontribusi unik dalam memacu progres belajar. Implementasi evaluasi holistik diyakini mampu mendorong terciptanya pembelajaran adaptif, membenahi kualitas sistem pendidikan, dan memperkuat akurasi pengambilan keputusan pada level manajerial. Refleksi dilakukan melalui penelaahan materi kuliah, analisis diskusi di kelas, serta penghubungan teori dari berbagai literatur ilmiah. Untuk memiliki kemampuan berbicara yang efektif, seseorang harus menguasai kaidah bahasa Indonesia yang mencakup elemen lafal, pilihan kata, struktur kalimat, intonasi, logika, kesopanan, serta kesesuaian dengan konteks. Tujuan dari jurnal ini adalah untuk menjabarkan kaidah berbicara bahasa Indonesia secara terstruktur berdasarkan telaah teori kebahasaan dan praktik komunikasi yang dilakukan secara lisan. Pendekatan yang diambil adalah studi pustaka melalui analisis konseptual yang bersumber dari berbagai referensi linguistik, retorika, dan pedagogi bahasa.
